Breath Freshening Foods to Keep an Eye Out For

All of us know a lot about the foods that can make our breath stinky. There are onions, garlic, tuna, and coffee, just to name a few. However, did you know that there are also foods that can freshen your breath equally as powerfully? It is true.

There are some great foods to be aware of if you happen to have one of the stinky foods for lunch. Here are some of the best food options to keep your breath fresh, that are also easy to find.

Foods That Freshen Breath

Herbs are the first thing you should reach for if you have stinky breath, but only a select few herbs. Any of the mint family that is edible can help, including traditional mint, peppermint, pineapple mint, and even chocolate mint. You can also reach for the parsley you likely pushed to the side of your plate during that lunch.

Yogurt is another great option when you want your breath to smell fresh. It helps to protect your teeth, provides you with lots of calcium, and helps kick bad breath out of the way, all in one simple snack.

Produce is a great way to freshen your breath. This can include fruits like berries, melon, pears, and apples. Plus, it can include vegetables, such as greens, carrots, peppers, and celery.

No matter what type of stinky food you ate, one of these foods has the potential to keep your breath fresh. If you do not get the results you want from one, combine a few that sound good. Perhaps a yogurt parfait with fruit and a sprig of mint?

Call us if you want to get more tips on keeping your breath fresh throughout the day, or to have a bit of help treating bad breath if you cannot seem to get yours to go away.
